Over the past couple of years the term “hipster” has been thrown around a lot. You’ve probably seen a few stereotypical “hipsters” walking around the streets with their beards and skinny jeans.
According to Urban Dictionary, hipsters are “a subculture of men and women typically in their 20’s and 30’s that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence, and witty banter.”
However, there’s a dilemma facing this country that needs to be cleared up: hipster denial.
Hipster denial is when someone fits the definition of a hipster, but is in denial. We might not be able to solve this problem for everyone, but for those glasses enthusiasts out there, here are some things to consider before determining if you are actually a hipster or not:
