In case you missed the news, we are now open at our new location, 3939 Montrose, Suite P in Houston! We loved being on Westheimer for the past 15+ years, but we are REALLY excited to show you our new space in the heart of Montrose! I took the time today to take a few pictures—maybe photojournalism is not my thing, but I think they turned out ok!
First, and maybe most important to many of you, PARKING! We have four dedicated parking spaces marked with these signs:
Should we be so lucky as to have enough of you filling up our spaces at the same time, there is also plenty of street parking in the block surrounding us!
As you enter the store, you’ll see a very different look than what you’re used to—modern and industrial with a touch of whimsy. Daniel, Nicholas and Greg put up the galvanized steel wall coverings themselves, and I think they turned out to look amazing. Daniel also designed the steel brackets that now house our frame displays. When you come in you won’t believe that we were able to create this space in about 2 weeks!
The addition of more shelving has allowed us to display each collection to its best advantage—more product on display, but less crowded and more accessible looking.
I have to also include some pictures of our new lab/office space. Doesn’t Squeak look happy with all the additional space to work? A window at the adjustment bench allows us to work on repairs and see the front door at the same time. And if you really wanted to, you could watch us work (it’s really not that exciting to watch, though!)
We have plenty of events coming up to introduce you to the store, including participation in Art 4 Life and a great GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION. I’ll let you know as soon as we have finalized the dates for that!
