FACE A FACE

Think fast forward contemporary design, think French, think work of art. And while you're at it, through in a bit of avant garde and a whole lot of color and you'll be conjuring up the Face a Face collection of designer frames. That's because every pair of Face a Face frames starts out as an architectural vision. Pascal Jaulent and Nadine Roth may have collaborated as eyewear designers when they founded Face a Face eyewear in 1995 but they never lost sight of their first true loves – architecture, modern art, and fashion. Drawing from the world they knew, they experimented with shape, line, and texture and came up with with a bold brand of hand made frames for people who value their individuality. Now, over twenty years have passed, and far from losing their creative edge, Face a Face eyeglasses are recognizable for their bolder than bold colors, their full-on use of volume and shape, and the high quality materials that make them more accessory than eyewear.

<strong>Colors</strong>

While Face a Face frames are available in tried and true shades like tortoise shell and black, there are more than enough eye-popping colors for expressing your unique personality, or perhaps your Friday-night-on-the town persona. Can you picture yourself in any of these combinations?

• smoke tortoise / dark plum
• shiny chocolate brown / lagoon blue
• chestnut beige/ fuchsia / orange tortoise
• transparent light violet / melon
• dark matte aubergine / blood red

These bold pairings didn't come about by accident. They are part of the long traditional design process that goes into each pair of Face a Face eyeglasses.

<strong>Step by Step Design</strong>

Face a Face eyewear still looks to architects to come up with a concept design for each collection. Next comes the research stage where designers experiment with shape, volume, texture, material, and volume. Finally, the plans are given over to some of the finest European craftsmen. Each pair of optical frames is handmade in Paris, and each pair of sunglasses, in Italy.

But you can see a wide selection of Face a Face frames right here at Eye Elegance, Houston's premier optical boutique for independent handmade eyewear from around the globe.
